Pescanova has created a solid international organisation dedicated to the rational explotation of marine resources. With over 30 years of experience and a fleet of over 100 ships, it's activities range from the capture of seafood from the main world fishing grounds, the deep freeze of the catch and then its final packaging and sale in different world markets. Leader in the fish and seafoods markets, it also ranks high in other European countries with a range of other deep frozen products (vegetables, pizzas, pre-cooked foods and prepared meals).

A pioneer in the development of aquaculture (the spawning and raising of different marine species for later consumption), it develops this reproduction of species as an alternative to increasingly scarce natural resources.

Pescanova currently owns five such plants in Spain, employing over 100 specialists who supervise the rearing of each specimen ensuring optimum conditions in order to guarantee the maximum quality for the consumer.

In each centre four species are cultivated:

• turbot
• bream
• sea bass
• prawn

Which can then be produced and sold at a competitive price all year round.
